Asperger’s was a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by social interaction difficulties, restricted/repetitive behaviors, and intense, focused interests. People with Asperger’s usually have normal to high IQs. In 2013, Asperger’s was removed from the DSM 5 and folded into Autism - which includes people with more severe cognitive and social disabilities, including people who are fully nonverbal and need full time care.
