Spike Jonze's "Her" centers around the romantic relationship between a human and an AI that is programmed to be the ideal companion for them. Aside from lacking a physical form, the AI's behavior and capabilities are indistinguishable from those of a human (i.e. it can express emotions, opinions, preferences and identify and respond to sensory stimuli). The only noticeable difference between the world of the movie and our own is the widespread access to this technology
