Bhutan is a South Asian nation between India and China. It has a population of less than a million people and a highly underdeveloped economy, with a vast majority of the population being subsistence farmers. The two biggest drivers of its economy currently are hydropower and tourism. Over 70% of Bhutan's land area is forested, and a 2008 constitutional amendment was ratified to ensure that 60% of Bhutan's land area would be covered by forests.
